Over the past year the NAGPS, has been seeking out new benefits for the membership. While our current healthcare benefit is being replaced with new coverage opportunities under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The next most costly expenses for graduate and professional students is travel. The costs associated with terminal research, flying home, conferences and presentation travel, let alone NAGPS events across the country is expensive. On Monday, September 23rd, American Airlines gave their support to graduate and professional students across the country by offering the NAGPS membership an extension of their college student travel program. Not only in the air, but on the ground NAGPS has another exciting travel related benefit. Earlier this month NAGPS announced that Hertz has extended a special discount to members of NAGPS. Hertz supports graduate and professional student education by offering a discounted rate on car rentals.
