Every NAGPS event is an opportunity to meet other graduate-professional students from institutions nationwide. Through NAGPS events, you will meet students from all disciplines, growing your network far beyond your chosen field.
NAGPS members can take advantage of discounted rates at NAGPS events where you can grow your network and meet exceptional guest speakers from all walks of life - from policy makers to entrepreneurs. Annual events include National Conference (fall), Legislative Action Days (fall and spring), Leadership Academy (summer), and regional conferences.

NAGPS empowers graduate-professional students to advocate at the federal level. Guided by the NAGPS Advocacy Platform and Legislative Platform, members can help fellow graduate-professional students' voices and concerns be heard on the national stage.
Committee Service
NAGPS committees meet regularly and are chaired by committed and trained national Directors.
As a member, you may request to join an NAGPS committee to work closely with a team of passionate graduate-professional students. Through committee participation, as a member you will feel more connected to NAGPS and its mission, and you will have the opportunity to develop essential skills by executing projects and initiatives.
Leadership Opportunities
Working collaboratively at the regional or national level, in an NAGPS director position, members can gain valuable skills to use well beyond their graduate-professional student years. Making connections and an impact beyond your university, leadership roles within NAGPS are a great resume or CV builder and help set you apart in a competitive job market.
Be on the lookout for vacancy announcements as they arise; NAGPS fills positions throughout the year and at the NAGPS National Conference each fall.
Voting Power
At NAGPS regional and national business meetings, members vote on important changes that impact the Association and its future.
As a member, your voting power gives you an true say in how the Association operates.
In NAGPS business meetings, organizational members designate one representative to vote on their behalf, and individual members vote by caucus.
