2013 Leadership Summit

Chicago, IL: The National Association of Graduate- Professional Students closed the curtains on the second staging of their Leadership Summit yesterday. The event was held at Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies from August 7-9 and centered on strengths-based leadership.

The Leadership Summit was created by NAGPS to empower graduate and professional students with the skills and information required to be effective leaders in their campus organizations. Over seventy graduate and professional student leaders from campuses across the nation participated in a number of sessions geared at preparing them for their leadership roles on their campuses in the 2013-2014 academic year. Sessions were led by senior executives in both corporate and non- profit organizations including:

The Summit also featured a Q&A session with Tom Rath, Gallup Researcher and author of Strengths Based Leadership and Eat. Move. Sleep. Attendees had a chance to chat live with Rath and pose questions on content from his books. Attendees were provided with advance copies of both books prior to the event.
