Director of Communications
Chenxi Wang is the 2021 NAGPS Director of Communications & Chief Communication Officer (CCO). He is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Chenxi earned his Master of Science in Engineering from UMass Lowell in 2018. Chenxi is the former Vice President and current President of UMass Lowell Graduate Student Association (GSA) since 2018, he organized and led a series of events including the UML 4th Graduate Volunteer Day and the 2020 Graduate Support Seminars. Meanwhile, he was involved in many initiatives such as being a student representative of the Graduate Policy & Affairs Committee (GPAC), Library Resource Committee, Graduate Employee Organization (GEO), and UMass Graduate Student Governance Network. As Research Assistance at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chenxi has worked across multiple fields including computer vision, machine learning, and heterogeneous computing. In his free time, Chenxi likes to cook something delicious, take photographs, and watch movies. Chenxi is a lover of husky, museum, and road trip, he is an adventurous man who has a natural curiosity to go where he has not gone before and see what he has not seen before. Chenxi’s major goal for NAGPS in 2021 is creating a comprehensive social media strategy to produce a positive image of the association and increasing NAGPS brand awareness.
