[headline]Request for Article Submission from Law Students for National Publication[/headline]

The National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) is excited to announce our first-ever publication of a national law journal. The NAGPS Law Journal will focus on legal issues that affect graduate and professional students and will be distributed online nationally this December, 2013.

The law journal will be comprised of approved articles submitted by participating law students from NAGPS member schools. NAGPS is pleased to invite all NAGPS member law students to submit brief articles for national publication.

GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSION:

All submitted articles must:
• Include the name and school of the author(s)
 • Be between 500 and 1,500 words
 • Be in Word format
 • Include sources and/or appropriate citations in blue-book format
 • Be submitted to legal@nagps.org by Friday, November 22nd, 2013
ARTICLE CONTENT:

For our first publication of the NAGPS law journal, we are allowing article contributors significant freedom in the style, type, and topics of their articles. Thus, all submitted articles relating to legal issues affecting graduate and professional students that meet the above criteria will be considered for publication.

However, listed on the following page are several types of articles contributors could use as templates. Additionally, listed on page three are a few examples of legal issue topic areas contributors could choose to focus on. If you intend to submit an article, it is helpful that you send us an e-mail ahead of time just to let us know what your article topic will be.

Articles will be chosen for publication based on (1) relevance of the topic, (2) quality of analysis and discussion of the topic, and (3) accuracy of the law and citations referenced. Selected contributors may be contacted with suggested edits prior to publication.

Please contact NAGPS with article proposals or questions at legal@nagps.org.

Thanks!
