Western Regional Director

Will Carrasco is the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students Western Regional Director for 2020. He is a Master’s student in Higher Education Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno. He also holds a master’s degree in Information Systems - Data Analytics from the University of Nevada, Reno. Will is also extremely active in his local GSA as a council member for College of Education, the co-chair for the Awards Committee and the co-chair for the Student Advocacy Committee. He also serves as an active student leader in the disability community at the University of Nevada, Reno. Having been involved in leadership and advocacy throughout his life, starting in Junior High and going all the way through college career, Will has had a passion for helping his constituents. With his degree in technology and his experience with leadership and advocacy, Will‘s major goals for the Association this year are: increase membership, develop new partnerships, and enhance officer accountability and transparency. When Will is not at work, doing homework or supporting student advocacy, you can find him in his hometown spending time with his family and friends. He has a great joy for the outdoors and exploring the new local businesses And restaurants in Reno. His favorite quote is from John Wayne: "Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway."
