Director of Social Justice Concerns

Bayan Alfathi is the NAGPS Director of Social Justice. Bayan is a pharmacist by education, and she has a master’s in Advanced Data Analytics & Minor in Healthcare Service Administration.

Bayan is Action Collaborative’s member of The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and she is Co-chair of the Community of Conscience Coalition of Dallas, TX. The Community of Conscience is a diverse coalition of religious, ethnic, and elected officials who recognize the importance of advancing the ideals of pluralism, civil discourse, and mutual respect. She is a member of the Muslim Jewish Advisory Council, which tries to build a bridge between two communities. She is a member of the Compassion Council of Dallas city because Bayan believes that what we need in our world is compassion. The principle of compassion lies in all religions' hearts; she loves dealing with compassion and treating everybody without exception with absolute justice, equality, and respect. She is a member of Daughters of Ibrahim, an interfaith group that meets to discuss commonalities and to see the beauty of each religion.

Bayan has experience in several countries with different cultures in social justice work. Bayan’s goal for 2022 is to help build respect and trust from others, motivate, and inspire better character from others, and reflect leadership qualities in personal and professional endeavors.
