Graduate and professional education is extremely important for our nation, and the past year has created a unique and difficult series of challenges for higher education that need to be addressed! Congress will not act on these issues until we make our voices heard in Washington. Please join us for our Virtual Advocacy Summit and Legislative Action Days!
The Advocacy Summit is designed to prepare attendees for meetings with their representatives on Capitol Hill. The two days of the Advocacy Summit will include informational sessions on policy issues, and best practices for conducting meetings with policymakers on issues in higher education policy. This time, we will be focusing on creating a safe and inclusive campus for graduate students to return to. Specifically, student mental health resources, sexual harassment prevention, and institutional transparency.
Following the Advocacy summit, we encourage those participating to contact/meet their representatives to advocate for graduate and professional education from 4/11 – 4/16.
