First annual NAGPS Gala Fundraiser

The first inaugural NAGPS Fundraiser Gala is a slated to be our Annual showcase event that commends the work being done to support the efforts of the organization.

 G.P.S. – Graduate Professional Students: Mapping the Future. This event is slated to take place on September 28th, 2015 at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington DC at 7:30 pm. This will be held in conjunction our biannual advocacy training and legislative action days, where delegations representing the various member institutions of NAGPS will gather in DC to advocate for legislative action that seeks to better the lives of millions of graduate and professional students across the nation.

This fundraising event will support NAGPS’s outreach and member development programs as well as our efforts in legislative advocacy, social justice, and international student advocacy to help students become more equipped to research, teach, and study for the enhancement of the national and internationally community.

This year’s NAGPS Gala and reception  honors the dedication of our supporters with the presentation of the 2015 Advocate of the Year Award.

In addition, we will be conducting a silent auction for your engagement in addendum to our program.   This event will provide NAGPS with the assistance to continue to support students trying to grow equality, progress, and sustainable resources.

NAGPS is a non-profit organization that represents graduate and professional students in advocacy.  It is our mission to advocate on behalf of graduate and professional students, those who strive to change the social, political and economic landscape. Our goal is to put our foot in the door to allow future generations access to the same growth and development.  NAGPS works to develop graduate and professional students initiatives and build the resources to further the back bone work that we do.

Nominations are closed. And the Advocacy board is currently engaging in deliberations regarding the 2015 Nominees. Please stay tuned for the results.

Our goal for this event is to inform the education community of the needs of graduate students across the country and to create a foundation of support for the legislative, social justice, and international efforts of NAGPS. Additionally, this event will reintroduce the new brand of NAGPS to the education community, and provide a point of reference for our image as we reestablish our home in DC.
