2018 NAGPS Spring Advocacy Summit and Legislative Action Days

This past year we fought off proposed tax hikes for graduate students and the elimination of student loan deductions. We now face policies restricting the financing of student loans restricting  international students, and the stripping away of protections for underrepresented student populations. In difficult times like these, we want you to know that the NAGPS is fighting for you.

Join NAGPS in advocating on the behalf of your fellow graduate students on Capitol Hill. This year the 2018 Spring Advocacy Summit and Legislative Actions Days are taking place March 10-13, 2018 in Washington, DC.  The Advocacy Summit will be taking place Saturday and Sunday March 10th- 11th at the Westin Arlington Gateway. The Summit will provide informational sessions on policy, initiatives, and best practices for conducting meetings with policymakers on issues affecting higher education.  This year’s event focuses on the Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, student loans, and CPT, OPT, and TA/RA workers rights.
