Advocacy 101: Successful Advocacy Efforts
The University of Missouri is thrilled to host the 2016 NAGPS South Central Regional Conference. The conference will be held in Columbia, Missouri on the campus of the University of Missouri from April 22 – 24, 2016. This year’s conference will be a joint effort with the Midwest Region. The National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) is a student-run national, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of graduate & professional student lives.
Once a year, The NAGPS Southcentral Regional Conference brings together graduate students from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas to discuss issues and initiatives important to the lives of graduate and professional students, and you’re invited! The planning committee is working diligently on conference components and making it an enjoyable and worthwhile event. We hope you join us for this year’s regional conference!

The SC Regional Conference is an occasion to perform some of the important business of meetings, including updates to our governing documents and the election of our leadership. During the business meeting, we will hold elections for the following regional positions:

— Director of Communications
— Director of Advocacy
