Rajesh Kumar is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University, USA. Kumar holds master degrees in Computer Applications and Mathematics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India and Louisiana Tech University, LA, USA respectively. He has been strongly advocating for adequate financial support and tuition waiver for all Ph.D. students as well as support for healthcare, childcare, and grievance redressal since last five years. Before getting elected as Employment Concern Advocate and Advocacy Board Chair of NAGPS, he served as the president of Syracuse University Graduate Student Organization as well as a graduate student representative to Board of Trustees of Syracuse University during 2016-17. He is committed to working on issues including unionization, stipend and benefits, equal opportunity and participation, ombudsperson office, and F1 Visa revalidation in the US.
