Director of Administration & CIO
As Director of Administration, Jennifer Johnson maintains NAGPS’ information systems, coordinates board member activities, keeps minutes at all meetings, and ensures all governing documents and procedures are followed in the Association’s activities. Jennifer is a PhD student at Washington State University (WSU), where she is currently conducting research in the areas of environmental science and system dynamics. Prior to coming to WSU, she received her BA degree in sustainability and her MS degree in education from Arizona State University.
Jennifer has always had the passion to lead and has done so in many capacities throughout her academic career. Upon entering WSU, she became very involved the working with the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA). This led to her position as a GPSA Senator for the School of the Environment, a position which she has held since 2016. As a senator she serves on both the Legislative Affairs Committee and the Academic Integrity Committee.
Being involved in NAGPS has provided Jennifer with many opportunities to lead, network, and form friendships that would last a lifetime. Prior to being elected as the Director of Administration, Jennifer served as the Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs for NAGPS.
