Dwayne Johnson | Director of Outreach
Dwayne A. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Adult Education from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. He currently is in pursuit of his second Masters’ degree in Construction Management. In addition to his current pursuit, Dwayne maintains a full time position with Messer Construction, as a Program Manager at the University of Kentucky. During his time between degrees, he served as a Construction Program Manager with Jacobs Engineering and The Louis Berger Group, on both the state and national levels. His career spans from residential, commercial and Federal Government construction, to Leadership and Engagement and Higher Education, shaping the minds and leadership abilities in both undergraduate and graduate students.
2016 serves as Mr. Johnson’s junior term on the national board of NAGPS. As the outgoing 2015 Southeast Regional Chair, he returns as a member of the Executive Committee as the 2016 National Director of Outreach. Recognized for his outstanding leadership and service to the Southeast Region of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students and as a two time president of the Graduate Student Advisory Council at North Carolina A&T State University, he ascribes to the theory that leadership is best accredited through the abilities of those that follow and the character of those that lead.
